Post-Event update - The Retail & eCommerce Directors' Forum 2017

A change of venue, to the spectacular Belfry hotel, allowed The Retail & eCommerce Directors’ Forum to grow again in 2017 meaning we could welcome over 350 Retail & eCommerce professionals – our biggest event to date!

Justin-King-2.jpgThe day began with an engaging Q&A session after breakfast with Justin King (former CEO, Sainsbury’s & Vice President of business portfolio, Terra Firma) who took questions directly from the delegate audience.

Justin impressed the importance of upholding the fundamentals of retail always within your business. Delegates also attended a variety of break-out conference sessions which echoed Justin’s positive outlook on the industry.

Further to this, exciting conversations took place throughout the day as we couldlounge-2017.jpg offer 76 service suppliers the opportunity to attend and discuss business in pre-scheduled meetings with the Retailers.

As is traditional with the forum, we finished the day with our famous networking Gala dinner to give attendees a chance to reflect and catch-up after a busy day.

Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards delivered a passionate and inspirational after-dinner speech, making reference to his own career. He sent a clear message that resonated with the audience
– with hard work and perseverance comes results.

You can view a full overview of the day here.

'The Retail & eCommerce Directors Forum was well organised, relaxed but formal when required and well attended by the seniority expected. The venue and format worked well for retailers and partners.'
  - Kevin Sparks, Factfinder

'I found the event a useful and productive use of my time. I met some interesting people, made some good contacts and have the potential for business as a result.''
  - Head of eCommerce, Lifestyle Sport
