In TurnbullRipley's words

Mark-Turnbull.jpgOver the years, Turnbull Ripley has attended various forums organised by Richmond Events. 2014 was the first year they attended The Communication Directors' Forum - Mark Turnbull, Managing Director tells us about  how they got on...

"Having attended the previous four Marketing Forums we decided it was time to ring the changes and so for 2014 we split our time between this and the Communications Director’s Forum.

We were unsure as a brand communications agency quite what to expect, but the delegate list looked promising and we had no trouble finding the right number of meetings to attend.

Our first set of meetings on the ship were the ‘speed meetings’. The intimate setting allowed us to have some excellent conversations, despite having just five minutes with each client. These resulted in a pitch (sadly we came second) and the offer of 2 follow up meetings we are in the process of arranging.

The longer meetings went very well too. We have had follow up meetings already with 2 prospects, and submitted an estimate for a £100k project (decision pending). Of the other delegates we have several who requested a follow up in 2015, so too soon to say where they might lead.

All in all it has been a very interesting and we hope successful first foray into the Communications Director’s Forum - we have re-signed for next year already."
Mark Turnbull, Managing Director, TurnbullRipley

The next Communication Directors' Forum runs from 7th to 10th October 2015 on board the P&O cruise ship Arcadia. For more information, please contact Kirsty Brown on 020 8487 2208 / kbrown@richmondevents.com.
