“drp have attended the Communication Directors’ forum for a number of years and it has become a regular part of our marketing and business development activity. Anyone who has attended the event will tell you that it is an intense process but one which has and will continue to reap rewards for their business.

Firstly, the organisation of the entire process is seamless. The delegate matching system and subsequently the people that we meet on board are always entirely fit for purpose and every year we come away with an array of contacts which we can grow and develop over the coming weeks, months and even years.

To ensure that we give the Forum its full credit, we take a three-year view on ROI as we have had many instances where contacts that we have made become clients some years after first contact at the event; others within months or even weeks.

To get the best out of the forum, we ensure we thoroughly research each company we meet, use the information provided by Richmond Events to identify their key areas of interest, thus tailoring our approach to each individual. A one-size-fits-all approach is not the best way to approach this specialised event and pre-planning ensures that we always get the best results and deliver the right impression to the people we meet.

Our most recent attendance has resulted in around 50 brand new contacts, 30 of which we see genuine opportunity with, 10 within the next three months and three from whom we have already received briefs.

Historically, the event has been a great success for us with a number of our regular clients having first experienced our brand at the forum including Osborne Clarke, JCB and Prudential.
